

What's PLAY-WORK TOWN?
This is a town for children who work like they play. You children can build and sell buildings and products, play and shop with their wages, work together with others to solve problems, and even start businesses that they wish existed.
1.Here's a job for you.
■Carpenter (Park)
Let's build a town designed by Konekuri Architect Labo. First-timers must take a training course.
(No sandals allowed).
■Art Car
Let's build an art car that runs around with flamboyance.
■Slime Land
You can make and play with everyone's favorite slime.
■Wood Paint Land
Where you can play with crafts using wood and paint. Let's go play with diy you earn!
■Programming Dojo
Where you can learn programming using scrach by paying your diy.
■Sky Tower
Work to build a big tower that will become a symbol of PLAY-WORK TOWN.
■Department Store
This is a store that sells the products made in the workshop. The job is not only to sell the products, but also to think about how much to buy and sell them for, and to request the workshop to make products that will sell well.
■News Production Company
Let's look for news about PLAY-WORK TOWN and cover it. This is a job that also uses video and photos to transmit the news.
■Leather workshop
Make passport cases and accessories using durable leather.
■Clay & Resin Workshop
Make miniature food and accessories with clay and resin.
■Poster and Signboard Shop
This job is to make posters, billboards, and flyers requested by people in the town.
■Vending Machine Factory
This job is to make the town more interesting by developing "ATMs" for people to save money and creating interesting gachas and vending machines.
■Weapons Factory
This job involves designing and making weapons that can be played with safely, and creating places where people can play with them.

The staff of the Town Hall work with the idea of how to improve the PLAY-WORK TOWN.

* There are many other jobs such as keeping the town safe, showing the town to adults who come for sightseeing, consulting with people who want to start their own businesses, selling land, and training leaders etc.
2.Positions
■Leaders
One leader is assigned to each booth. Imagine that a leader's job is like a “president". Only those who have been trained and registered can become a leader. Once you've taken the training, you get a certification stamp. If you become a leader, your salary will be 12 diy.
■Meister
In Carpentry, News Production Company, Leather Workshop, Clay & Resin Workshop, Poster Sign Shop, Vending Machine Factory, Weapons Shop, and Slime Land, you can become a Meister when you master the art of making things.
1. Can do all the work alone.
2. Can teach others how to make things.
3. Can use tools and materials with care.
4. Clean up afterwards.
If you can do all of the above and the volunteer staff approves you as a Meister, you are a Meister. You can get a certification stamp on your passport at the city office. Once you become a Meister, your salary will be 15diy!
■Entrepreneur
What kind of store will attract many customers? Actually, there are many children in PLAY-WORK TOWN who have money but don't know how to spend it. Why don't you create a new store with your idea? When you want to start a business, please consult with the government office.
3.Role of Volunteer Staff
Volunteer staff of high school age or older will be on hand at the venue to watch over the children. They are responsible for technical aspects such as how to use tools, following up when strength is needed, and watching over the children to make sure no serious injuries occur. We will not give instructions to the children, so please expect that fights and minor injuries will occur.
4.How to play in PLAY-WORK TOWN?
1. Watch the theme song about how to play in PLAY-WORK TOWN on the website.
2. Registration will begin at 10:30 (30 minutes before the start). Please let us know your name, address, guardian's name, and phone number.
3. You will receive a passport and a wristband after paying the participation fee (1,000 yen / day)
4. Find a job at Hello Work!
5. Choose a job and go to work. The leader will write the starting time on your passport. You can keep the job or quit immediately. You can keep working or quit right away, but you have to tell the leader when you quit.
6. If you have any questions or problems, ask the work leader or a child at the government office and they will help you.
They will tell you, "This way to cut.", "That way.” and so on.
7. When you work, you get paid at the bank and pay taxes. You work 60 minutes and get 10 diy, but you have to pay 2 diy in taxes. If you get good at your work and become a Meister, you will get 15 diy!
8. Use the money you earn to buy things and play.
Repeat steps 1 to 8. Let's do various jobs!
In 7 days, everyone's town will be built.
It will be fun to come for a few days!
5.Important Note for Guardians
■Adult volunteers rarely intervene
so that children can help each other and solve problems on their own. They need to have the courage to ask for help when they are in trouble.
■No refunds for any reason
even in case your children do not fully enjoy the experience and leave immediately.
“Tourist Guide Tour” for 15 minutes is available to see what it is like inside.
■Potential for injury
This is an event for children to play freely at their own risk and to give priority to their independence. Though we will teach them how to use the tools, we will NOT follow and watch them all the time. Please consider injuries as part of the experience. Please also tell your children at home that they can participate only if they promise to be careful.
■Emergency Contact
In the unlikely event of an injury that would require a trip to the hospital, or in the event of a fever or other medical condition, please pick up your child. Please be sure to include a contact number on the application form that can be reached while children are participating. If the address and phone number are not accurate, insurance coverage will not be provided.
■Wear clothes that can get dirty (incl. shoes and belongings)
as paint will be used in the venue.
■No baggage will be kept
Please make sure that children can manage their own belongings.
■Program Summary
Infectious Disease Control
In order to prevent infection, those who do not wear a mask, have a fever of 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher, or have a cough or runny nose will not be allowed to participate.
Although the venue will be equipped with disinfectant and ventilation, we cannot guarantee the safety of all participants.
6.Q&A for children
Q. I can’t stay at the venue all the time. Is that OK?
A. You can come and leave anytime you want throughout the day as long as you wear the wristband you get at the registration desk.

A. We do not sell them, but you can bring your own to eat and drink.

A. You can only sell items made in PLAY-WORK TOWN. Please consult with the PLAY-WORK TOWN Office about starting a business.
Q. What should I do with the money “diy” left over from PLAY-WORK TOWN?
A. We would like to do PLAY-WORK TOWN again next year. If you keep it, you may be able to use it.
Q. There are many different jobs, but I'm worried that I won't be able to do them properly.
A. Each job has its own Child Leader and adult staff who will teach you how to do the job. If you find it difficult, you can quit. On the other hand, if you find it enjoyable, you can do whatever you want for as many hours as you like.
7.Q&A for Guardians
Q. There are tools that children don't normally use, and adult chaperones are not allowed to enter, but isn’t there a risk of injury?
A. Although adult volunteers will instruct your children on the handling of tools and other equipment, injuries are bound to occur. Please consider it as an experience. Our volunteers will watch over the children to prevent serious injuries.
Q. I don't want my child to appear in the video or images.
A. Promotional photos and videos are taken at the venue. Those who do not want to be reflected in the images will not be allowed to enter.
Q. Aren’t children who have not yet gone to elementary school allowed in?
A. No, they cannot enter. For safety reasons, preschool children and new first graders (starting in April 2023) are not allowed to enter.
Q. What should adults attending from far away do while waiting?
